Eddie knocked to the floor, Rey does the 619 fakeout and the other two move on the floor. A few years after this, they’d have a ladder match for the custody of a child. Less than five years before this, they had one of the great matches in WCW history. Eddie clotheslines Punk over the top, then Rey knocks Punk out to the floor with a dropkick.Įddie and Rey in the ring, a classic rivalry. Punk ranas Eddie over, he kicks Punk away, Rey back in. Eddie goes for a hiptoss, Punk blocks, reverse, Eddie blocks. Mysterio slides out, Guerrero jumps on Punk and RIPS him with major league chops. Punk and Rey keep breaking the other man’s pin. Eddie keeps feigning locking up with them, then backing out. Eddie just backs into the corner and doesn’t care, Eddie-like. Punk and Rey lock up first, nothing going. Punk talks some shit to someone, either Rey or a fan, who knows? He talked a lot. Mysterio shoots at Eddie’s legs, then Punk’s, gets neither.
